Figure 5.3 shows the target program execution time for each benchmark versus the simulator predictions for all processor configurations listed in Table 5.1. The graphs were identical in all simulator modes, and consequently the figure shows only one mode: the NMP+CEP+Det mode. In each graph, the solid line shows the execution time of the target program. The x axis shows the number of target processors, and the y axis the time in seconds. All other lines show the predictions of the different simulators, i.e. the sequential simulator and the parallel simulators for the host processor configurations listed in the legend of each graph.

The predictions of any simulator in any mode is within 20% of the target execution time for all benchmarks. This validates the simulation model to a high degree.
