Finding the Parallel Computing Laboratory
Traveling from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX):
- Take the 405 (San Diego freeway) North. (There are road signs directing you to the 405 from LAX terminal.)
- Get off on Wilshire Blvd. (about 8 miles), heading east (right).
- Drive down Wilshire to Westwood Blvd., where you will turn left. (The intersection of Westwood and Wilshire is said to be the busiest in the world!)
- Drive down Westwood (north), past Le Conte. At this point, Westwood Blvd. will change into Westwood Plaza.
- Continue north until you see a large tan and blue parking kiosk in the middle of the street to your left.
- Pull up to the kiosk and tell the attendant that you have parking reservations for Lot 9. Give the attendant your name and parking confirmation number.
- Parking structure 9 will be directly ahead of you and to the right. (There is a big sign/banner.) You will see another, smaller blue parking kiosk in the middle of the street to your left, which is usually closed.
- To enter Parking structure 9, make a right just before the bus stop where the street loops back.
- Park in Lot 9 and proceed to Boelter Hall. Boelter Hall is directly north of Lot 9, just east of a large brick building with brown glass windows (Engineering IV building). Boelter Hall cannot be seen from the street, so you may want to ask the parking attendant for more precise directions.
- Take the elevator to the third floor and proceed to room 3531F (on the north side of the building) to find Prof. Bagrodia's office. The lab, however, is now in room 3809, on the west side of the building, overlooking the balcony.
