A note on grading. I grade hard, so the scores are low, but the class is graded on a curve. Only if you give up will you fail to pass the class, and you have to do pretty bad to get a C. I believe we have only given three or four C grades in the first three years (~60 students).

This is an elective, with mostly only the cream of the crop of undergraduate students, plus a few graduates. For that reason, we give mostly high grades. However, competing against the best of the best means a few of you will fall into the second tier.
