Format

Typically, one hour of new material, one hour of question/answer. Most of the information about the programming projects will originate in the Discussion period.

January 22	Review of programming models. Introduction to SP2 and Parsec. SP2 accounts handed out.
January 29	Parsec. First homework handed out and explained. Producer/Consumer (bounded buffer) problem.
February 5	Correction from Wednesday's guest lecture. More homework clarification. MPC fairness issues.
February 12	Review and return HW #1. Reader/Writer in Java. Assign HW #2.
February 19	Midterm solutions discussed. This week's notes include a breakdown of the midterm scores.
February 26	Midterms returned. Grading discussed.
March 5	Homework #2 returned. Detailed instructions given for homework #3. Please reprint the assignment.
March 12	Some more homework 3 notes. Parsec matrix operations.
March 19	TA evaluations. Parsec matrix operations. Continuation of Wednesday's lecture (notes not included).
